Many attractions draw people to the Mariposa region. We are host to three great national parks, Yosemite, the jewel of the National Park system, and Sequoia and Kings Canyon (two national parks operated as one), the rugged and beautiful Merced River, historic, gold rush towns like Mariposa, Hornitos and Coulterville, and much, much more.

White Water Rafting on the Merced River

One of America’s protected Wild and Scenic rivers, the Merced offers Class II, III and IV rapids to attract the whitewater enthusiast. Novices, too, can enjoy a ride down the Merced with one of the commercial rafting outfitters that operate along the river.

We designed the perfect 2-day Yosemite Adventure for couples, for families, for elderly, for hikers, for climbers, for bikers and mountain bikers, for the amateur adventurers.

Arrive at the cabin prior to 6 pm, unload and unpack. Flip through the restaurant list, call for reservation if needed. Return to cabin full and ready to retreat. Play games, read, watch a movie, visit.

The first day you will be experiencing Yosemite from the South-East Side. Bring a brown bag or grab something at the Wawona mart. Drive through Oakhurst and visit Mariposa Grove, Glacier Pt and Wawona.

Next day Yosemite Valley, visit the falls, take the bus or walk the valley, Yosemite Village, Yosemite Falls. Eat at Degnans, visit the Ahwahnee Hotel.

Next day drive up through and back through Tuolumne Meadows, this will be your destination for the next visit to Yosemite. Magic wonderland.
